Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and prepare patients for exams, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Obtain and record patient history and vitals, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist providers according to Washington State regulations, adhering to strict standards of care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Accountabilities and Competencies
  • Accountability for HIPAA privacy and security standards within the department, upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Adhere to organizational patient safety standards relevant to the department, prioritizing patient well-being and safety above all else.
  • Schedule appointments, conduct telephone and in-person screenings, and gather information without requiring exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge.
  • Clean, organize, and stock exam rooms, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Perform related clerical duties, including pulling charts and filling reports, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Utilize one or more Cerner applications to deliver and track patient care, staying up-to-date with the latest technology and systems.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • WA State Medical Assistant-Registered within 60 days of hire.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
  • Proficient with medical terminology.
