Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU

  • Monitor life support equipment and provide patient education
  • Support patient families and provide education on patient care
  • Perform pulmonary toileting, draw blood from central and arterial lines, and administer medication
  • Interpret EKG and telemetry monitoring, and participate in cardiac arrest code teams
  • Initiate and revise patient care plans based on ongoing assessments
  • Document nursing interventions and patient responses
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and methods of implementation
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in good standing
  • Evidence of current AHA BLS and ACLS certification
  • Minimum one year of current ICU hospital experience
