Position Overview:

  • The Ambulatory Nurse II is a registered nurse who actively collaborates as a key member of the healthcare team, consistently ensuring safe practices within the established professional framework.
  • This role requires the nurse to possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude to meet the standards for proficient nursing practice as outlined in the Ambulatory Nurse II position description addendum. The nurse exemplifies organizational competencies that align with the mission of UPHS.
  • The Ambulatory Nurse II independently delivers patient care through the nursing process and is accountable for the care of assigned patients, who may range from infants to the elderly. The nurse demonstrates competencies in Continuous Quality Improvement, Evidence-Based Practice, Leadership, Person and Family-Centered Care, Professionalism, Safety, Technology/Informatics, and Teamwork.
  • This position involves close collaboration with the interprofessional healthcare team to ensure coordinated care across the continuum, focusing on individualized care based on various patient considerations.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned to support the unit and department.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse licensure in Pennsylvania is required.
  • ACLS, BCLS, or PALS certification is mandatory.
Education and Experience:
  • A diploma or ASN from an accredited nursing program with over 15 months of relevant nursing experience is required.
  • A BSN from an accredited nursing program with over 15 months of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
