About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our custodial team as a Capitol Custodian. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Capitol building and other small buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other areas of the Capitol building
  • Operate cleaning machinery and equipment, and utilize custodial supplies
  • Work collaboratively with team members and customers to provide excellent customer service
  • Handle chemical cleaning agents safely and effectively
  • Perform routine upkeep activities, including event setup and cleanup
  • Notify management of any necessary repairs or maintenance

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

Working Conditions
