We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Management Professional to oversee maintenance functions, ensuring departmental and operational safety and regulatory compliance. As a key member of our client's team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program, providing training for supervisors and mechanics, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

About the Role

  • This role involves managing maintenance staff, equipment, and infrastructure while ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting employee safety.
  • You will develop and implement metrics to measure departmental performance, focusing on completion rates, timing, and machine up-time/reliability.
  • As a strong leader, you will mentor maintenance supervisors, purchasing managers, planners, schedulers, mechanics, and parts attendants, providing coaching and feedback to drive job results.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing supervisor to coordinate with external suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of equipment parts and establishing a safety stock.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, including SQF, WSDA Organic, HACCP, internal and external customer audits, backflow, and company GMPs.
  • Manage employee safety initiatives, such as LOTO, confined space entry, ladder safety, and fall protection.
  • You will document control procedures, developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Prepare and manage budgets, controlling labor and parts expenses to meet forecasts.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance supervisor and/or manager experience required.
  • HACCP certification, SQF certification, food safety training, and sanitary equipment design training are beneficial.
  • Experience in PM program development and execution, food manufacturing principles, plant maintenance programs, capital project management, and electrical/electronic systems is desired.
  • Strong knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, and accounting principles, as well as OSHA regulations, GMPs, sanitation, and HACCP practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Salary Range:$140,000 per year.
