Job Summary

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. This role is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance and general cleaning of guest rooms and public areas.

About the Job

The Facilities Maintenance Associate will ensure that all fixtures and appliances are in good working order, respond to maintenance requests, and uphold safety protocols while delivering excellent service to guests.

This role encompasses minor repairs and maintaining a clean, safe environment for both guests and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces as required.
  • Inspect and repair grout and caulking, replace light fixtures, and maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms.
  • Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
  • Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Less than 1 year related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
Working Conditions

This role requires:

  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
Salary Information

This role offers a competitive salary of approximately $18.55 per hour, based on industry standards and location in Berwyn, Pennsylvania.
