Key Responsibilities:
As an integral part of the Preschool Teaching Team, the Assistant Teacher will:
- Support the lead teacher in developing and executing engaging curriculum and activities.
- Interact with and supervise children, providing encouragement and guidance in various settings.
- Facilitate learning in small groups and interactive centers.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of learning environments throughout the day.
- Document any incidents or concerns that arise during the day.
- Assist children with personal hygiene and care as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and spiritual growth opportunities.
- Engage in ongoing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- A genuine love for God and children.
- Active membership in a Christian, Gospel-centered community.
- High school diploma and completion of early childhood education courses as mandated by state regulations.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a childcare or educational setting.
- Exhibit a friendly, professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
- Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and a collaborative spirit.
- Maintain good physical and mental health, with the ability to perform necessary physical tasks.
Physical Requirements: The role involves periods of sitting, standing, and moving, with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
