We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to lead our retail store team.

About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of Michaels Inc. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading operational processes to deliver sales and profits while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Collaborate with Store Manager to plan and support scheduling and execution of store workload.

  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Company programs; execute Company policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.

  • Participate in truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.

  • Achieve key performance indicators (KPI's); manage team to achieve their role KPI's.

  • Develop and implement visual merchandising standards in store; execute feature space and seasonal layouts.

  • Oversee inventory management processes in store; ensure accurate stock levels and efficient inventory control.

  • Manage merchandise operations and Omni channel processes; maintain high-quality customer service standards.

  • Implement and monitor shrink and safety programs; minimize losses and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Develop and execute training plans; observe and coach team members to achieve results; participate in performance management process.

  • Model behavior that aligns with company values and vision; promote positive relationships with colleagues and customers.

  • Perform duties as Manager on Duty (MOD).

  • Provide exceptional customer service; assist customers in finding products and solutions.

  • Maintain cross-training in Custom Framing selling and production; assist with Omni channel processes.
