Responsibilities

  • Supervise patients during activities to enable them to function safely and independently.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene requirements, in accordance with specific assignments provided by supervisors.
  • Contribute to a culture of caring through individual accountability and teamwork.
  • Report any significant changes in clients' environments, behaviors, and circumstances to supervisors.

Requirements

  • Successful clearance of health screens as required by state regulations.
  • Successful clearance of state and company background and reference checks.
  • At least one year of experience in caregiving in any setting, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, or home health/private duty.
  • Experience with completing activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, cooking, light cleaning, toilet assistance, and transfer.
  • Must have at least 18 hours of availability per week.
  • Dedication, reliability, patience, and sensitivity to the needs of others.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with clients, families, team members, and other stakeholders.

A Day in the Life of a Caregiver

As a caregiver with At Home Healthcare, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' environments and identifying potential safety hazards. You will take appropriate actions to eliminate hazards or report them to supervisors. Our caregivers approach each day with a passionate pursuit of caring for patients, working one-on-one with them to help them achieve their health goals.
