Position Overview:

The Plumbing Technician is skilled in various construction trades, ensuring that all necessary tools and materials are readily available at the job site. Responsibilities include conducting regular inspections, identifying maintenance needs, and coordinating with management and external contractors.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes while considering existing infrastructure.
  • Identify and resolve issues with water supply lines and drainage systems.
  • Install and maintain water supply systems effectively.
  • Repair or replace damaged drainage lines, clogged drains, and faucets.
  • Proficiently handle plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe wrenches and plungers.
  • Adhere to state regulations and local building codes.
  • Work schedules may vary; availability for nights or weekends is required to address emergency situations.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is in good working condition, including refueling and reporting mechanical issues.
  • Maintain an adequate stock of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.

Documentation:
Accurately document all installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, fuel type, necessary test measurements, and photographs as needed.

Service and Maintenance:
  • Diagnose various service issues, procure replacement parts, and calibrate systems according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Complete work orders and track materials used, maintaining precise records of labor and materials.
  • Engage in company-sponsored training to stay updated on the latest industry technologies.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained, including regular inspections and reporting issues.

A certificate or two-year degree in plumbing from a trade school or community college is preferred, along with a valid plumbing license.


Experience Requirements:
A minimum of three to five years of experience in inspecting, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plumbing systems and equipment is required.

Skills:

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plumbing diagrams, and installation manuals.
