Job Title: Quality Engineer

Trident Maritime Systems-Heavy Equipment Group is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating, analyzing, and resolving internal and customer quality issues. You will conduct audits, analyze defect trends, and lead continuous improvement projects to ensure the highest quality and customer satisfaction levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform champion problem-solving and root cause analysis activities with plants and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.
  • Initiate, track, and work with appropriate departments to timely resolve PCARs.
  • Support delivery, warranty, and quality improvement actions to achieve the highest quality and customer satisfaction levels.
  • Identify unique contract quality requirements and assure they are flowed down to supply chain and manufacturing.
  • Conduct internal audits to identify and correct procedural, product, or process deficiencies.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
  • Drive a "Zero Defect" mentality within the organization.
Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years in a manufacturing (weld/machining) environment.
  • Familiarity with a formal Quality Management System.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works well with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to function independently of direct supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ISO lead auditor certified or ability to obtain lead auditor qualification.
Physical Requirements:

Job often requires long hours of sitting/computer usage.
