Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures. This position requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with arteriograms, catheterizations, and other cardiovascular procedures
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields for lab procedures
  • Monitor patient's ECG, pressures, temperature, and impedances during electrophysiology lab procedures
  • Notify physicians of any variances or abnormalities
  • Contribute to the orientation and training of new staff members
  • Participate in quality control initiatives and audits
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
  • Ability to apply complex invasive cardiac and vascular values, instrumentation, and techniques
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and RCIS
