We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including baked goods, entrees, and desserts, following standardized recipes and food safety guidelines.
- Portion and serve food in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all food is presented in a visually appealing way.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment, such as mixers, slicers, and ovens, to prepare and cook food.
- Work effectively with other team members to ensure that all food is prepared and served on time.
- Follow standardized recipes and Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines to prepare, store, and use food and food products.
- Document HACCP steps, temperatures, and outcomes to ensure the safest food possible.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
