Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Systems Engineering to lead our Mission Management Modernization effort. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing cost and schedule, working closely with customers to shape the scope and modernization roadmap, and performing cost estimation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a large team of employees distributed across multiple locations, managing cost and schedule with an expected budget exceeding $10M annually.
  • Work closely with customers to shape the scope and modernization roadmap, and perform cost estimation of ECPs.
  • Develop and maintain a modernization roadmap in coordination with our customer and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent execution of cloud-based systems.
  • Work with program technical leads on architectural assessments of cloud-based systems to identify and address any vulnerabilities, inefficiencies, and improved resiliency.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on scope definition and cost estimation, and prepare and present technical briefs to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, or related Technical field with a minimum 12 years' relevant or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Active and transferable Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud technologies and migration to the cloud, containerization and databases, automation (build, deploy, test), Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), and/or evaluation of COTS/FOSS.
  • Excellent customer and executive presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience ensuring consistency across an integrated product team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with management and individual contributors.
