About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will assist in evaluations of staff and educational needs for the dialysis department, while also monitoring, reporting, and evaluating policy and labor activities to the Manager of Dialysis and the Division Dialysis Director.

This role requires collaboration with other management team members to direct, monitor, and evaluate non-licensed clinical personnel in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Determine predictable or unpredictable health status and health needs of patients through interpretation of health data and preventive practice in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
  • Utilize a systematic approach to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care.
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient.
  • Implement nursing care within the RN's scope of practice, including compliance with other laws that apply to the practice setting.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards.
  • Provide education, emotional support, and age-specific care to foster a partnership with the patient and significant others.
  • Provide for the care of multiple patients either through direct care or assignment and/or delegation of care to other members of the healthcare team.
  • Use critical thinking to analyze clinical data and current literature as a basis for decision making in nursing practice.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited nursing program, preferably a Bachelors' Degree. You should also have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
