OverviewSyms Strategic Group, LLC (SSG) is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the Department of Veterans Affairs. We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our team.

Estimated Salary Range$93,725 - $114,650 per year

About the RoleThe Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing test automation strategies, creating automation test plans, and integrating with CI/CD tools and pipelines. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive technical expertise in IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, and networks. They must also have experience working in agile environments and developing test plans and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement test automation strategies to ensure efficient and effective testing.
  • Create automation test plans and integrate with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
  • Choose and configure automation tools such as Selenium and TestNG.
  • Develop and execute automated tests, including functional, system, regression, and integration testing.
  • Troubleshoot and document defects, and work closely with engineering and QA teams to manage and improve the development pipeline.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
  • At least 8 years of experience in automated software development and testing.
  • Experience with Java, C#, Python, or other programming languages.
  • Experience with visual studio and T-SQL.
  • Must have experience developing test plans and test procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with EDI and financial transaction systems.
  • Experience testing MUMPS, VistA, and other VA systems.

Security Clearance RequirementsPossess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) clearance.

Citizenship RequirementU.S. citizenship is required for this position.
