CNC Machinist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Trivium Packaging. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup and operate conversational style machines for milling and drilling
  • Repair broken parts/tooling as necessary
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Perform continuous quality control of the parts and/or tooling in production
  • Authority to stop and/or modify work processes due to non-conformance and/or unsafe working conditions
  • Contribute to accomplishing organizational goals by accepting ownership for developing new methods, systems and processes, exploring opportunities for job enhancement
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years' experience as a precision machinist with knowledge of conversational programming
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for effective manufacture of precision components, including experience in tolerance standards management
  • Measuring skills using calipers, bore micrometers, and pin gauges
  • Mechanical ability using hand tools
  • Conceptual thinker, process improvement aptitude
  • Ability to remain organized and pay attention to detail
  • Must be a team player and possess a “can do” attitude
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Capable of safely operating lift assist equipment, minor rigging, hoist crane, etc
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write and communicate effectively
Work Environment:

This role will work in a clean, climate-controlled machine shop within a manufacturing facility. The work environment features a team dynamic, safety focus, and emphasis on process improvement.

  • $4000 Sign-on Bonus
  • 2-2-3 schedule with Every Other Weekend Off
