Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician at Nucor Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and systems. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to ensure optimal functioning and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Generate parts lists and labor time estimates for maintenance and repairs.
  • Train and mentor colleagues on new equipment and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed repair records.

Requirements
  • Minimum two years' experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of experience in an industrial plant setting.
  • Two-year degree in mechanical, electrical, or related field.
  • Knowledge and experience with AC and DC motors, VFDs, power transformers, and programmable logic controllers.
  • Formal electrical safety training and experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts, mobile cranes, and other mobile equipment.

Physical and Special Demands
  • Heavy lifting may be required.
  • Working conditions may be noisy, dusty, hot, or cold.
  • Extended hours and occasional travel may be necessary.
