**Job Title:** Deli Associate

**Job Summary:**

As a Deli Associate at Safeway, you will be responsible for operating a cash register and electronic scale in the store delicatessen. You will take deli orders from customers, both in person and over the phone, and prepare deli food for hot and cold cases. Your duties will also include slicing and wrapping meats and cheeses for special orders and filling deli cases. Additionally, you will prepare deli fruit or seasonal trays for display or special orders.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Operate a cash register and electronic scale in the store delicatessen
* Take deli orders from customers, both in person and over the phone
* Prepare deli food for hot and cold cases
* Slice and wrap meats and cheeses for special orders and filling deli cases

**Requirements:**

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
* Ability to stand for long periods of time
