Primary Care Clinician

Mount Holyoke College seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Care Clinician/Nurse Practitioner to join its College Health Services team. As a key member of the healthcare team, the successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to Mount Holyoke College students, while also participating in public health initiatives and programs that promote health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct primary care services to students within the scope of practice, including medical management of acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions.
- Participate in College Health Services programs and public health initiatives that foster health and wellbeing among students.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation, adhering to all ethical and legal professional standards.
- Share in on-call services for weekends and after hours, providing direct consultation and support for triage nursing and/or student patients.
- Participate in clinical consultation and collaboration, as well as consultative support for nursing and laboratory staff within CHS.
- Coordinate services with home healthcare teams and provide third-party consultation for issues related to individual students.
- Masters of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Completion of an NP training program, preferably in Family NP, Adult, Pediatric, or Women's Health NP.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in primary care, with experience in college health a plus.
- Massachusetts state Advanced Practice Nursing licensure, CPR certification, and DEA certification or eligibility.
- Experience working with college populations and knowledge of developmental issues of adolescents/young adults.
- Skills in full spectrum primary care, including mental health, ambulatory basic orthopedics, and GYN care.
- Computer skills sufficient to chart in electronic health records and facility with basic email and word processing.
- Solid and respectful communication skills, both verbal and written.
