Job Summary

Mount Holyoke College seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Care Clinician/Nurse Practitioner to join its College Health Services team. As a key member of the healthcare team, the successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to Mount Holyoke College students, while also participating in public health initiatives and programs that promote health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct primary care services to students within the scope of practice, including medical management of acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions.
  • Participate in College Health Services programs and public health initiatives that foster health and wellbeing among students.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation, adhering to all ethical and legal professional standards.
  • Share in on-call services for weekends and after hours, providing direct consultation and support for triage nursing and/or student patients.
  • Participate in clinical consultation and collaboration, as well as consultative support for nursing and laboratory staff within CHS.
  • Coordinate services with home healthcare teams and provide third-party consultation for issues related to individual students.
Requirements
  • Masters of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited program.
  • Completion of an NP training program, preferably in Family NP, Adult, Pediatric, or Women's Health NP.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience in primary care, with experience in college health a plus.
  • Massachusetts state Advanced Practice Nursing licensure, CPR certification, and DEA certification or eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with college populations and knowledge of developmental issues of adolescents/young adults.
  • Skills in full spectrum primary care, including mental health, ambulatory basic orthopedics, and GYN care.
  • Computer skills sufficient to chart in electronic health records and facility with basic email and word processing.
  • Solid and respectful communication skills, both verbal and written.
