About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Gundersen Health System. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality radiographic exams and procedures to aid in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with patients and families to provide compassionate, individualized care in the provision of radiology services.
  • Demonstrate accurate knowledge of established protocols and equipment operation when performing exams on patients.
  • Provide high-quality service to customers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Assume responsibility to provide a quality learning environment for patients, their families, students, and co-workers.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as listed on the competency checklist and as requested by others.

Requirements:

  • Post-high school education in a specialized field: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • 6 months of clinical experience in a radiology program.
  • Desired: 1 year of experience working in a large hospital radiology setting.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist-Radiography (ARRT).
  • Wisconsin employees must be a Licensed Radiographer with the State of Wisconsin (LICRAD-WI).
  • Iowa employees must have a Permit to Practice from the Iowa Department of Public Health (RADTECH-IA).
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands-on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Work Environment:

Exposed to infectious diseases.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting rarely, walking/standing occasionally, stooping/bending rarely, lifting - other frequently.
