Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at White Lodging. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for assisting the Banquet Manager in the successful execution of banquets and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership and accountability of events from planning to execution, ensuring seamless delivery and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental standards, policies, and procedures to drive operational excellence.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all guests receive a high level of service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Banquet Manager to plan and execute events, including menu planning, vendor management, and logistics.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure that they are equipped to provide exceptional service and meet the needs of our guests.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including event orders, consumption forms, and payroll procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that our events are always innovative and exceptional.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 19 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Knowledge of various food-service styles, including plated, buffet, French, Russian, Table-Side, and Butler Service.
  • Solid Microsoft Office applications, administrative, math, accounting, and supervisory skills required.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, staff, and co-workers.
  • Ability to provide legible, written communication.
  • Knowledge of effective office organizational practices.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
