- Conduct digital vehicle inspections (DVI) and identify any potential safety or maintenance issues on all vehicles.
- Rotate tires and check tire pressure, adjusting as needed.
- Refill or replace fluids, including transmission, brake, and windshield washer fluids.
- Inspect and replace air filters, wiper blades, and other minor parts.
- Ensure the bay area, shop area, and lunchroom are clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining vehicle conditions and maintenance requirements when necessary.
- Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials such as oil, filters, and other chemicals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive maintenance services and procedures.
- Previous experience in automotive service or maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems required.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record is required.
- Must obtain 609 certification within 30 days of hire.
- Must be able to obtain at least one ASE certification within one year.
- Must take 2 ASE tests per year until A1- A8 are obtained.
- Must have your own tools.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to follow instructions and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to use power and hand tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Great organizational skills.
The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Considerable physical activity is required, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part of the job.
