Scorekeeper Job Description

The City of Falls Church, Virginia is hiring a Scorekeeper to work part-time during basketball league games. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basketball rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record game statistics and scores
  • Monitor game progression and make timely decisions
  • Collaborate with other officials to ensure fair play
  • Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and spectators

Requirements:

  • Age 21 and older
  • Strong knowledge of basketball rules and regulations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to work one night per week and Saturdays

Salary:

$18 per hour. This is a part-time, temporary position without benefits.
