Join Our Team as a Transportation Planner

RK&K is seeking a talented Transportation Planner to join our multi-disciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and interpreting technical information related to transportation planning. Your work will involve collaborating with colleagues across our nationwide offices, working from our Wilmington, Delaware office, or our headquarters in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on projects from visioning to concept development.
  • Develop and implement diverse transportation planning projects, including corridor studies, feasibility studies, and transportation safety action plans.
  • Produce professional transportation documents, tools, and presentations for client, stakeholder, and public engagement.
  • Demonstrate creativity and critical thinking in solving complex transportation challenges.
  • Research funding mechanisms for transportation programs through local, state, and federal grants.
  • Support project managers in crafting meeting materials, completing meeting minutes, and drafting recommendations.
Requirements:
  • BS in Urban & Regional Planning, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation planning.
  • Demonstrated technical and non-technical professional writing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of transportation planning fundamentals.
