We present an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and pragmatic product attorney to become a member of our Software & AIML Products Legal team.

This role allows you to engage with a proactive team, committed to supporting Apple's initiatives in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning along with associated products.

In this position, you will be tasked with supporting and advising Apple's engineering, product marketing, and government affairs teams on a diverse range of issues related to AIML products and policy, including research and publications, feature development, intellectual property, technology and content licensing, as well as regulatory proposals and compliance.

You will also be responsible for remaining informed about the swiftly changing legal landscape affecting AI, along with the intricate intellectual property, privacy, and ethical challenges associated with its advancement.

We seek an individual like you to help maintain Apple's esteemed ethical and corporate standards, safeguard our intellectual property, and provide essential legal support for Apple's software products and operations.

Qualifications: 4+ years of legal experience within a technology firm, a prominent law office, or a governmental organization. Experience in advising on matters related to intellectual property, consumer protection, trust and safety, content moderation, or data privacy and security is essential.

Direct experience in advising on AI and machine learning is a significant advantage. Experience in analyzing and formulating global compliance strategies for new regulations is also preferred. You should be adept at structuring, negotiating, and/or analyzing agreements for a wide array of technology transactions. An excellent communicator who can identify and articulate complex legal issues clearly and succinctly to both frontline business and engineering teams as well as senior executives is crucial.

A creative problem-solver who can lead projects and analyze and resolve intricate issues in innovative and practical manners is ideal. This role is best suited for a high-energy, assertive self-starter who has a passion for technology and thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment. In-house experience is preferred.

Education: JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.

Compensation & Benefits: At Apple, base pay is one component of our overall compensation package and is determined within a specified range. This provides opportunities for advancement as you grow and develop within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $193,000 and $290,100, and your base pay will be influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the chance to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if they voluntarily participate in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
