About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team at Ardagh Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for identifying, maintaining, assembling, and reworking shell, lane, and tab die tooling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tooling Maintenance: Identify and address any issues with tooling, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Assembly and Rework: Assemble and rework intricate die set assemblies, ensuring precise tolerances and quality standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot problems in a timely manner, utilizing your skills and experience to resolve issues.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive success.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all tooling and die sets meet the required specifications, adhering to quality standards and protocols.
Requirements
  • Experience: Journeyman machinist or tool and die maker preferred, with a strong background in precision machining and tooling.
  • Skills: Proficient in operating surface grinders, lathes, polishing wheels, drill presses, and hand tools, with a strong understanding of precision measuring devices.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift/carry 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to heat, vibrations, and loud noise, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols and procedures.
