We're seeking a skilled Commercial Kitchen Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, plumbing, and performing general maintenance. Refrigeration knowledge is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of commercial kitchen equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Install new equipment according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper alignment, connectivity, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of service, parts usage, and equipment status for reporting.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site or in the workshop.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate repairs, parts orders, and service schedules.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced service environment.
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, including but not limited to gas and electric appliances, HVAC systems, and plumbing fixtures, and refrigeration.
- Technical proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Familiarity with reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure thorough documentation and efficient service delivery.
- Completion of technical school program in HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, or related field.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical school program in HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, or a related field is required.
- Relevant certifications such as CFESA (Commercial Food Equipment Service Association), EPA, or similar credentials are a plus.
