Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician Mechanic to join our team at Ditch Witch of Alabama. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including trenchers, mini skid steers, vacuum excavators, piercing tools, and horizontal directional drills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of our equipment.
  • Respond to work order requests in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing tasks to meet business needs.
  • Work in a shop environment and travel to in-field repairs as required, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience repairing equipment in an agricultural, construction, or drilling industry is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues.
  • Proficient in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical repairs, with experience working with both gasoline and diesel engines.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history is required, and a CDL is preferred.
  • Must own and be able to safely use personal mechanic's tools.
  • Welding experience is a plus, and the ability to handle a physical workload is essential.
