Pipefitter Helper Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter Helper to join our team at Century Contractors. This role is responsible for assisting experienced craft workers in the fabrication shop, ensuring the safe and efficient installation of pipes and related systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in cutting or drilling holes in walls to permit passage of pipes.
• Select and mount pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold pipe.
• Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation.

Working Conditions:

The Pipefitter Helper will work in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, and vibrations. The role requires the ability to safely access all areas of the property, buildings, structures, and wharves, as well as confined spaces. The successful candidate must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
• Physical stamina to perform strenuous tasks and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
