Job Description

The Building Services Manager - HVAC will be responsible for directing the renovation, repair, and maintenance of all HVAC systems in the Iowa City Community School School District.

This role involves performing the work of department HVAC technician, service and maintaining all the District's HVAC equipment as needed, diagnosing, repairing, designing or replacing all HVAC equipment, managing, inspecting and reporting on work performed by service contractors related field, and assisting in the design of renovation, upgrade and remodeling projects in coordination with other departments.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Performance of the work of department HVAC technician
  • Service and maintenance of all the District's HVAC equipment as needed
  • Diagnosis, repair, design or replacement of all HVAC equipment
  • Management, inspection, and reporting of work performed by service contractors related field
  • Assistance in the design of renovation, upgrade and remodeling projects in coordination with other departments
