Job Summary
Smiths Group plc is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our manufacturing department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Team Management: Supervise and direct a team of manufacturing employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of raw materials and finished goods.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as manufacturing, engineering, or business.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or operations role, with a proven track record of success in team management and process improvement.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of employees. Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software.
