Position Overview:

The Environmental Compliance Manager will support division associates in executing the Lennar Environmental Management System (LEMS) and the Injury Illness and Prevention Program (IIPP).

This role involves regular collaboration with the Regional Environmental Manager (REM), National Safety Manager (NSM), Division and Community Safety Coordinators, regulatory bodies, and division personnel.

The successful candidate will ensure the division's adherence to LEMS, including modules on Stormwater Management, Air Quality, Environmental Due Diligence, and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a solid understanding of Air Quality Regulations, State General Construction Permits, and Best Management Practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Erosion, Sedimentation & Pollutant Control Plan (ESPCP).
  • Facilitate compliance with stormwater and air quality regulations through regular interaction with division associates.
  • Conduct audits and ensure the effective implementation of ESPCPs and dust control plans across communities.
  • Coordinate training sessions for associates and trade partners on LEMS procedures.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies as necessary and attend relevant training courses.
  • Monitor safety hazards in the office and construction sites, conducting inspections and discussions on safety matters.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in construction technology, environmental management, or a related field. A comprehensive understanding of regulations pertaining to stormwater management and air quality is essential.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Completion of OSHA outreach training within the initial months of employment.
  • Strong organizational and writing skills, coupled with a professional demeanor.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
