Role Overview

As a Cortex Systems Engineering Specialist, you will serve as the authority on our Cortex portfolio, specifically targeting the Northeast Healthcare sector.

Your responsibilities will encompass our advanced Cortex offerings, including Cortex XDR (an integrated detection and response platform), Cortex XSOAR (for security orchestration and automation), and Cortex Xpanse (focused on attack surface management).

You will be the primary resource for customer engagements related to security operations, providing technical mentorship and collaborating with Account Managers to create tailored solutions for diverse client environments.

Your mission will include displacing competing technologies, expanding market presence within your designated Healthcare accounts, and ensuring our clients feel secure through our integrated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present as a subject matter expert to customers at all organizational levels.
  • Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives for potential clients and partners.
  • Assist clients in enhancing their services surrounding Cortex solutions.
  • Design solutions that fortify and simplify clients' security frameworks.
  • Engage in discussions regarding industry trends and necessary adaptations in the security landscape.
  • Articulate competitive offerings and position our solutions as the optimal choice.
  • Facilitate customer demonstrations that highlight our unique value proposition.
  • Serve as the main technical contact for RFIs/RFPs.
  • Achieve a solution sales-based quota while ensuring successful deployments of Cortex products.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to recommend and develop customer-centric solutions.
Qualifications

Your Background

  • Minimum of 3 years in pre-sales or sales engineering within SIEM, SOAR, SOC, or endpoint environments.
  • Proven experience in customer engagement, showcasing problem-solving capabilities and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong understanding of Security Operations Center processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of SIEM and/or SOAR technologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting, preferably in Python, is advantageous.

Compensation

The compensation for this role will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer, the expected starting base salary for non-sales roles or base salary plus commission target for sales roles will range from $192,000 to $264,000 annually.
