Job Title: Parts Washer

We have partnered with a leading manufacturer located in Avon to seek Packaging Machine Operators to join a successful and growing team.

As a Packaging Machine Operator, you will set up and operate various packaging machinery, including Form-Fill-Seal machines. This is a long-term opportunity that will allow you to enhance your career while gaining valuable manufacturing experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manually wash and sanitize all food contact utensils and totes after they have been emptied in the Cook and Prep areas.
  • Organize clean totes and utensils in the designated area to allow for proper drying.
  • Inspect all totes and utensils for defects and notify maintenance or supervisor for repairs.
  • Manually spray off and rinse all recyclable items free of product residue such as: plastic buckets, drums or other items. Prepare those items for outside storage prior to pickup.
  • Daily sanitation of the COP Room, Break Room, drains or other assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Filling out daily MSS or cleaning logs to document activities.
  • Place cardboard into baler and compress. Bind for pickup and empty baler when full.
  • Transports waste to trash compactor area.
  • Operate and run floor scrubber as needed.
  • Detail clean equipment from the mixing areas such as pumps, gaskets, clamps, pipes, etc.
  • Mix chemicals in containers or prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
  • Keep work areas in mixing department clean and orderly.
Requirements:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. Occasionally bend and crouch.
  • Ability to regularly lift, push or move up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work in wet or humid conditions as well as cleaning chemicals.
