About the Role:

The Engineering Manager of the Development Services Division plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this manager will oversee the planning, design, and construction of new development projects that provide essential water and wastewater services to both El Dorado and Sacramento counties.

This role involves leading and mentoring the district's in-house construction inspection staff, overseeing both external, development-driven projects and internal capital improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will guide and develop the district's master planning and modeling efforts while ensuring that design and construction standards are up-to-date and enforced.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the district's in-house construction inspection staff

Requirements:

  • Five years of increasingly responsible experience performing professional engineering duties
  • Three years of supervisory responsibility
  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in engineering or a related field
  • Possession of a current certificate of registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in California
