**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nursing Assistant/Mental Health Associate to join our team at the University of Kentucky's Eastern State Hospital. This is a full-time position that offers a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of adult patients with primary psychiatric diagnoses.

The ideal candidate will assist licensed healthcare providers in delivering patient care, including planning, organizing, and implementing psychiatric rehabilitation activities. Responsibilities will include escorting patients to and from activities, screening and assessing patients, providing documentation, and keeping records of patient behavior.

This role requires strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be confident, trustworthy, and able to take direction while working independently.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous healthcare experience and CPR certification preferred

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 per year
