Private Wealth Management (PWM)
Goldman Sachs PWM excels in formulating comprehensive wealth management strategies for high net worth individuals, families, and select institutions such as foundations and endowments. Our PWM teams collaborate closely with clients to provide tailored solutions, leveraging our extensive investment expertise and diverse wealth management capabilities. Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) offer an exceptional investment platform that includes a full range of products and services from Goldman Sachs and beyond, addressing needs such as tax and estate planning, philanthropic endeavors, and private banking and lending services. This close-knit relationship enables the team to adapt to evolving client needs and present new opportunities by utilizing the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of credit implications for loan transactions, particularly when collateral value cannot solely dictate credit decisions.
- Collaborate with the Regional Lending Team to devise solutions that align with client needs and the Bank's risk acceptance criteria.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Private Lending product suite, ensuring consistency in the underwriting process and adherence to the standards outlined in the Product Lending Guides.
- Document the structure and analysis required for credit approval and maintain accurate file documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation of loan approvals and policy exceptions, maintaining credit files in an organized manner.
- Verify that loan documentation aligns with the approved terms for each transaction.
- Assign appropriate risk ratings to each loan transaction.
- Ensure compliance with all monitoring procedures related to covenants and collateral.
- Engage with banking regulators as necessary and provide support for the loan portfolio as requested.
- Promote effective communication with Regional Private Lending teams, Credit Risk Management, PWM teams, and Goldman Sachs Bank personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of three years of experience in financial sectors.
- Relevant experience in commercial banking or private banking underwriting or credit roles.
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred for more senior positions.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting, analysis, and modeling.
- Excellent people and project management skills.
- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
- Self-motivated, confident, and personable; a team player.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and internet capabilities.
- A genuine interest in contributing to a dynamic and expanding business.
