Education and Experience

  • 2-year degree from an accredited institution in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field; 2 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related area.

Driving Bar/Lounge Business with an Entrepreneurial Mindset

  • Identifies financial opportunities by analyzing restaurant demand.
  • Collaborates with key community members to explore opportunities while assessing competitors.
  • Manages purchasing and inventory, negotiates pricing and contracts, develops preferred supplier lists, reviews usage reports, and takes corrective actions as needed.
  • Utilizes effective revenue management strategies to secure optimal business levels at peak times to maximize revenue.

Leading Marketing and Public Relations Initiatives

  • Attracts guests through the development and execution of marketing, advertising, and community relations programs, evaluating their effectiveness and adapting to changing demands.
  • Manages social media content related to the bar/lounge and oversees public event communications; monitors social media engagement; responds to feedback; analyzes trends; addresses deficiencies.
  • Builds a network of contacts to facilitate outreach and event opportunities.
  • Acts as the primary liaison for events or community activities related to the bar/lounge.
  • Engages with liquor suppliers and procures beverages for the outlets. Coordinates and schedules entertainment and events.
  • Oversees the planning and execution of all events to ensure a premier experience.

Managing Bar/Lounge Operations

  • Implements established beverage policies and procedures throughout the establishment.
  • Ensures the bar/lounge operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal beverage and liquor regulations.
  • Monitors adherence to liquor control policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all Bar/Lounge policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintains all collateral, menus, and guest materials in pristine condition, free from damage.
  • Understands beverage control metrics, including inventory management, portion control, cost analysis, and sales mix analysis.
  • Attends pre- and post-event meetings to understand group requirements.
  • Comprehends budgets, financial statements, and payroll reports to assist in managing departmental finances.
  • Participates in managing departmental expenses to meet or exceed budget goals.
  • Maintains food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Manages inventory in accordance with budget and business demands.
  • Assists in menu and promotional development as necessary.
  • Communicates essential information to Bar/Lounge staff regarding events.
  • Ensures the ambiance (lighting, music, decor) aligns with the Bar/Lounge concept and time of day.
  • Oversees entertainment and activation processes to ensure alignment with brand strategy.

Creating Memorable Guest Experiences

  • Builds long-term professional relationships with guests.

The salary range for this position is $74,000 to $96,000 annually.
