Job Title: Thrift Store Associate

At The Salvation Army Central Territory, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Thrift Store Associate to join our team. As a Thrift Store Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers and donors have a positive experience visiting our store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and sort donated goods, ensuring they are accurately priced and displayed for sale.
  • Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, providing excellent customer service to our patrons.
  • Assist customers with loading purchases and provide a positive shopping experience.
  • Perform light cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Process donation drop-offs, assist donors with unloading donations, and issue receipts.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service and/or retail experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills required and previous experience handling cash a plus.
  • Must pass background checks.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
