Role of the Biomed Technician
The Biomed Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that all medical equipment and supplies are safe and functioning properly throughout the facility. This position also involves maintaining the physical environment of the clinic.
Work Schedule: Full-time position, Monday through Friday, typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with on-call availability as required.
Compensation: Hourly pay ranges from $18.55 to $28.38, based on relevant technical experience and expertise in dialysis.

Key Responsibilities
Expectations for the Role:
- Perform repairs, calibration, and maintenance on dialysis delivery systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on water systems in both the clinic and patient homes.
- Adhere to AAMI standards for water safety and equipment reprocessing.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and promptly, following clinic policies.
- Conduct air quality testing and take necessary actions based on results.
- Manage inventory as assigned, in accordance with established procedures.
- Follow safety protocols for hazardous materials and medical waste.
- Participate in clinic quality improvement initiatives and risk management programs.
Qualifications

Education and Training Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months of experience as a biomed technician or equivalent education and experience
- Completion of manufacturer training courses within the first year of employment
