Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the UHPO Program Team, focusing on the oversight and execution of advanced helicopter development, integration, qualification, production, modification, fielding, and sustainment projects.
  • Analyze and define unique verification requirements for customer-country helicopter products.
  • Assist in the formulation of program acquisition strategies, including cost and schedule estimations, as well as risk assessments and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with product airworthiness requirements through thorough assessment and verification.
  • Develop and compile Contract Requirements Packages (CRPs), encompassing Statements of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), and Data Submission Lists (DSL).
  • Review and evaluate contractor proposals for alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee the workflow of CDRLs, ensuring they are reviewed, addressed, and tracked according to established standards.
  • Ensure adherence to systems engineering processes, including the creation of system, item, and airworthiness qualification specifications.
  • Support critical program technical reviews such as System Requirements Review (SRR), System Functional Review (SFR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), and System Verification Review (SVR).
  • Guarantee that aircraft products meet Army airworthiness certification requirements in accordance with AR 70-62 and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other Material Developers and relevant personnel.
  • Manage performance metrics for contractors and suppliers.
  • Engage with customer-chain representatives, providing briefings and updates as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, along with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and possess or be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically is essential.
