ATC Palm Beach County is seeking dedicated Full-Time and Contract Speech-Language Pathologists. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required.

LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a current and valid state license as mandated by the practice state.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of one year of experience in speech-language pathology, particularly with the geriatric demographic, is preferred.

CREDENTIALS

Current CPR certification as required by the facility; compliance with other health and screening protocols as dictated by specific facilities and regulatory bodies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position involves working in a Geriatric Rehabilitation Setting, with potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other infectious materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to ATC policies and procedures.
  • Follow client facility policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of services rendered.
  • Initiate emergency protocols as per client guidelines.
  • Ensure confidentiality in patient care and facility operations in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Deliver patient care in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner, ensuring the dignity and rights of all individuals are upheld.
  • Effectively communicate relevant information to appropriate team members.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain competency and meet state-specific requirements.
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapeutic exercises and equipment usage.
  • Conduct assessments, treatments, and evaluations of speech and language therapy patients in a timely and precise manner.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of therapeutic equipment and instruments utilized in daily practice.
  • Apply rehabilitative techniques suitable for various age groups.
  • Administer and interpret a range of standardized assessments.
  • Order and evaluate durable medical equipment based on patient needs.
  • Provide services and consultations aimed at achieving optimal rehabilitative outcomes for patients.
  • Understand various billing processes, including Medicare and Medicaid.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Flexible scheduling options available, including Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday shifts.
