Electrical Site Supervisor Job Description

Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Site Supervisor to join our team in Tampa, Florida. As a key member of our electrical team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of electrical systems on our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement work schedules for the electrical staff.
  • Provide motivation and assistance to team members as needed.
  • Inspect and assess the work done by the electrical staff to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Read and interpret design schematics to ensure proper installation of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot major system failures and equipment malfunctions.
  • Repair and maintain electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee the purchasing and maintenance of electrical equipment on-site.
  • Ensure work is completed on schedule and to code.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Consult with builders, architects, and other workers on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
  • Journeyman's license.
  • 7+ years of commercial electrical experience.
  • 2+ years of commercial site Supervisor experience with projects $500,000+.
  • 2+ years of PM experience managing $4,000,000+.
  • Previously ran crew size of 6+.
  • Able to work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel.
Work Environment:
  • Work assignments may vary based on client requirements.
  • Work may be performed inside a large facility or in the field.
Schedule:
  • Regular attendance following an established work schedule is mandatory.
  • It is essential to be able to work any shift/designated hours required.
  • You may be asked to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work.
Physical Requirements:
  • May require climbing ladders, working at heights, and in small, confined spaces.
  • Must possess the capability to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended durations.
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Equipment and Machines:
  • General office equipment includes PCs/laptops, telephones, copiers, servers, switches, routers, and other computer equipment that supports the network environment.
  • General field equipment includes hand tools, power tools, ladders, aerial/motorized lifts, and test equipment.
Travel:
  • Travel requirements will vary.
  • A current passport is required for Overseas travel.
Other Essential Functions:
  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required certifications or licenses through the duration of the project or contract.
  • Candidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace.
  • Candidate must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with various external customers.
