Key Responsibilities
  • Foster customer relationships through team-based selling and identify opportunities for growth and development.
  • Manage deliveries to published routing schedules and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working closely with the credit department and clients.
  • Develop new business by leveraging market intelligence databases, business directories, and existing client relationships.
  • Stay up-to-date on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales, and share this information with customers as part of value-added services.
  • Drive a motor vehicle to existing customers and prospects to ensure product delivery, which may include lifting and carrying up to 75lbs.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • Foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Competitive spirit and results-driven mentality.
  • Problem-solving ability, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Team-oriented mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and experience using customer relationship management tools (i.e., Salesforce).
Work Environment

This role requires frequent travel to customer sites, often in variable weather and temperature conditions. A valid driver's license and a good motor vehicle record are required.
