Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Beverage Specialist to join our team at St. Luke's University Health Network. As a key member of our food service department, you will be responsible for preparing hot and cold specialty drinks in accordance with established procedures and recipes.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and food preparation, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to maintain proper food quality and temperature, prepare and serve menu items, and operate a point-of-sale system while following cash handling policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare hot and cold specialty drinks according to established procedures and recipes.
  • Maintain proper food quality and temperature.
  • Prepare, serve, and merchandise menu items to enhance product visibility and adhere to dietary restrictions.
  • Ensure menus are posted in designated areas and communicate changes to responsible staff.
  • Operate POS system while following cash handling policy and procedures.
  • Stock assigned areas as directed.
  • Assist with general sanitation of the food service department, including cleaning equipment and waste disposal.
  • Clean and maintain work area at all times.
  • Complete special cleaning projects as assigned.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service and/or food service experience preferred but not necessary, with on-the-job training provided.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $25,000 - $35,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

This role requires:

  • Walking for up to 7 hours, 30 minutes at a time.
  • Sitting for up to 1 hour at a time and standing up to 1 hour for 30 minutes at a time.
  • Frequently using handling and occasionally twisting/turning, lifting (1-50 lb.), carrying (1-50 lb.), pushing (1-50 lb.), and pulling (1-50 lb.).
  • Occasional stooping/bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder level.
  • The ability to hear normal conversation and have general vision, far vision, and peripheral vision.
