Job Summary

This is a 2nd Shift role, working Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:15pm Eastern time. As a Roto Operator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of operations to assemble and finish a range of types and sizes of plastic containers and other items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work from engineering prints, bills of materials, assembly drawings, written and/or verbal instructions to assemble and finish containers.
  • Set up and lay out work areas to assemble or perform selected operations required for finishing and assembly of containers.
  • Pick parts and supplies from racks and assemble containers according to prints and specifications.
  • Perform gluing, taping, flame treating, and labeling operations, as well as limited pressure Leak testing and inspection.
  • Notify supervisors or others of inspection failures, out of tolerance/specification situations, and report out of specification conditions.
  • Repair, retest, and document results on appropriate forms, and maintain work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
  • Maintain daily production and other records as required, and perform other related duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Must have the understanding and ability to follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Must have the ability to use basic hand tools and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
Additional Information
  • Actively supports and complies with Pelican's objectives, guidelines, and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels, and complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
  • Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime, and able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation

The approximate base compensation range is $19.59-$22.00 per hour, with the actual offer varying based on skills, experience, and location.
