Production Support Specialist

Job Summary

The Production Support employee is responsible for supplying raw materials and supplies to the departments to be converted to finished goods. This is done by transporting the raw materials from the raw material warehouse to various departments with an industrial powered truck such as a forklift or a roll clamp truck in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport raw materials from the raw material warehouse to various departments
  • Unload raw materials from railcars and unload from trucks on docks
  • Dispose waste materials from the production areas
Requirements
  • 3 years + recent experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts) required
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and experience with roll clamp is a plus
  • Must be able to climb in/out of the forklift on a frequent basis throughout the work shift
  • Must be able to walk around throughout the shipping/receiving bays; surfaces are mostly concrete
  • Must be able to perform pushing/pulling activities when performing work activities
  • Must be able to bend throughout the work shift; majority of bending occurs in a slight forward bend for brief periods of times
  • Must be able to reach between waist and shoulder height which occurs on a continuous basis
  • Must be able to lift/lower/carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must have the ability to work in a high-paced and multi-task environment
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
