Key Responsibilities: * Assist physicians and other medical personnel in the examination process, including preparing patients for exams and procedures * Coordinate patient schedules and provide clerical assistance to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic * Perform routine tests, such as audiograms, vision tests, and EKGs, and assist with more complex procedures * Obtain and record vital signs, including body temperature, height, weight, and blood pressure * Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion * Provide nursing duties, such as suture removal, casting, and administration of injections * Assist with surgical and non-surgical procedures, including chaperoning examinations and patients * Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and sterilize instruments and equipment Requirements: * 2 or more years of experience in patient care as a Medical Assistant or 2 years performing electronic order entry as a qualified Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) * Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire * One of the following certifications preferred but not required upon hire: Medical Assistant - American Medical Technologists (AMT), Registered Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Personnel, Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - National Healthcareer Association, National Certified Medical Assistant - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant - National Association for Health Professionals What We Offer: * Competitive total rewards package, including a $2,000 or $1,000 sign-on bonus * Comprehensive benefits package, including PTO, 401(k), medical and dental plans * Opportunities for professional growth and development OU Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer: We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
