Role Summary:

As the Lead Wiring Technician at Crusoe, you will oversee the daily performance of the wiring team, ensuring that schedules are met without compromising quality or safety. In addition to managing the team, you will actively participate in project tasks as needed, while maintaining your leadership responsibilities. Your expertise will be crucial in training and guiding team members to enhance overall performance and efficiency.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Communicate daily production details, including schedules, material shortages, and team priorities, ensuring effective task assignment and coverage for absences.
  • Report team status to senior management, highlighting production constraints and additional requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, monitoring team performance to meet job specifications.
  • Provide training and coaching to team members, assessing their skills and identifying training needs.
  • Utilize basic hand tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively, including drilling, tapping, measuring, stripping, crimping, and cutting.
  • Interpret controls and electrical manufacturing drawings competently.
  • Possess a solid understanding of industry manufacturing procedures.
  • Understand cable sizing and the appropriate use of ferrules and crimp sizes.
  • Differentiate between power and control wiring.
  • Read HPI drawings and comprehend cable color coding.
  • Facilitate communication between project engineers and team members regarding manufacturing standards and procedures.
  • Have foundational knowledge of field cabling and securing methods, including conduit, cable-tray, and trunking.
  • Install and mount field devices, terminating cables to instrumentation, marshaling cabinets, and junction boxes.
  • Assemble, wire, and loom according to HPI standards.
  • Maintain adequate material levels to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing processes.

Qualifications for Success:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an electronic assembly environment or as an electrician's apprentice.
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Basic understanding of electronic and electrical theory.
  • Mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Management experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Capability to review and modify drawings as necessary.
  • Physical ability to lift, lower, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back is required.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Willingness to undergo background and drug testing.

Compensation Information:

The compensation range for this position is $30-$35 per hour, with Restricted Stock Units included in all offers. Pay will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
